Over the last 8 years, YT Bell has been diligently working for the people of Clarkston. Below you will find a few notable accomplishments and legislation introduced and passed by YT Bell to improve YOUR quality of life.
Economic Development
YT understands that budgets dictate priorities, so it's essential that community programs are supported and economic development opportunities are promoted in Clarkston.
Increasing funding can improve infrastructure, present alternative community responses to issues, promote economic growth and cultivate a sense of community in Clarkston.

Resolution to authorize a Small Business Matching Grant Program for businesses

Resolution to allow convenience stories with VSS to acquire a permit for extended hours.

Community Development
YT Bell values people, community, and effective policies that help with cultivating change and reducing challenges of the citizens in Clarkston.
As a community advocate, she has worked to address injustices, safety issues, serve vulnerable populations, and solve complex problems.

Healthcare/Mental Health
YT believes that a representative democracy has a very highly correlated relationship with health care and access to health care for all residents. Health care and adequate health related services are a key indicator of the quality of life for someone.
She is motivated by the loss of friends and family members living in poverty with no health care coverage or hearing from residents who have had to decide between paying for medication or being able to feed themselves!
